The Ultimate List: 50 Upcycle / Refashion Projects To Inspire You

We have a lot of debt to pay off.  Instead of just limiting spending on new clothes, I’ve decided to not buy anything new at all.  This year will be number three of my clothing fast.  One of the ways that I’m making the most of the things that I already have is with upcyle or refashion projects.  All you really need are some things you don’t wear anymore, some basic sewing skills, and a little bit of creativity.  Here are 50 awesome projects (with links to tutorials) to give you some inspiration.

Many great ideas. Great job on the no new clothes for three years. Just a tip buying from to make is clothes different\new can get costly fast. For a cheaper alternative think about combining lace and design elements from two or three different outfits to create a new look. Another cost cutting idea is to use other things like tableclothes. curtains, and scarves. I made a nightgown out of a pretty shirt that had beautiful bead work. I just loved the bead work on the original shirt, made a pretty girly gown for a five year princess lol!
