A New, Effortless App For Making Money

A New, Effortless App For Making Money

I’m always on the lookout for new ways to make a little extra money to expedite our debt payoff.  Smart phones are awesome tools for hustling up a little extra cash, instead of wasting your time away (and sometimes paying money) playing games.  I just found a new money-making app that requires no effort beyond normal use of your phone.

slidejoy

Swagbucks has been my favorite money-making app, but it does require a little bit of effort.  I just downloaded Slidejoy onto my phone last week and so far, it’s pretty great.  They basically pay you to look at advertisements.  You know how there is a “lock screen” on your phone?  Every time that you use your phone, you have to swipe the screen.  Slidejoy pays you to place advertisements on your lock screen.  It”s nothing inappropriate.  So far, I’ve seen ads for clothing, cars, other apps, and even to support Hillary Clinton.  All you have to do is swipe the ad away, and you can use your phone as normal.

How much do you get paid?  The app updates itself every day at 1:00 p.m., so you can see how much you made the day before.  The “carats” are not instantly redeemable, you have to wait until the end of the month.  One dollar is equivalent to 1,000 carats.  I’ve been averaging about 10 to 20 cents per day.  The carats can be redeemed for gift cards (including Amazon) or Paypal transfers.

I haven’t received any payouts for this app yet, so this post will definitely be updated if I encounter any issues.  The reviews are generally pretty positive.  If I’m going to be swiping my phone anyways, why not make a couple of extra bucks?  Unfortunately, it’s only available for android phones right now, but that’s just another reason to switch to one of the very affordable cell phone plans offered by Republic Wireless (we pay $80 per month for four phones with unlimited data). Every little bit helps as we battle our way out of debt and journey towards semi-retirement by the age of 40.

Note: If you do decide to sign up for Slidejoy, using this link will give me referral credit and be very much appreciated.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

    1. Good question. For the past week, Slidejoy used 59.1 MB of data. It’s not a big deal for me, because it’s a Republic phone, but that’s important to people without unlimited data.

In all honesty, it has not bothered me very much. It takes the same amount of effort to unlock my phone before and with Slidejoy. The only downside so far, is that it takes two steps to get to your camera. I used to have an option to go straight to it from the lock screen. Now, I have to swipe away Slidejoy, and then click open my camera.
